Usage
Only for external usage, Red Apple Fragrance Oil is extremely concentrated. Never use scents directly on your skin since they can irritate it.
Skin care products: Because Moksha's Red Apple Fragrance oil is so concentrated, just a tiny amount should be added to on-the-skin products (up to 2-3%) and rinse-off products (maximum 4-5%). It is ideal for giving your recipes a warm scent.
Soaps: Red Apple Fragrance oil can be used to create opulent soap. Maximum usage for Melt & Pour soaps should not exceed 3.5%. We advise using 75–90 grams of fragrance oil for every 1 kg of fats and oils in your recipe when making cold-process soap. We advise using 50–70 grams of fragrance oil for every 1 kg of fats and oils in your recipe for hot process soap.
Please take note that the suggested guideline refers to the amount of FATS/OILS per kilogram of cold- and hot-process soaps, not the overall amount of soap.
Scented Candles: We advise using a dosage of 6-8% for making candles. The scents have a fantastic cold throw and a moderate heat throw. We advise adding a fixative like an isopropyl myristate (about 20% IPM to 80% Fragrance) to enhance the hot throw and then the wax can be added.
Bath Essentials: Since this is a rinse-off product, bath oils can be added up to 5% (although we advise starting low at 2% and increasing as needed).
Room freshener: This product will last a long time in your home or office space. We advise using 3-5% and creating your personalised scented spray by adding the fragrance oil to distilled water (or another carrier of your choice).
Red Apple Fragrance Oil is compatible with all kinds of bases, but we do not advise it for bath bombs. This oil can be added to Melt & Pour bases at a maximum rate of 10%. For Cold Process soap, we advise using 0%-2% depending on the amount of Red Apple Fragrance Oil in your recipe. The recommended usage for candle making is up to 10%.
